LVMH's Seine-front maison in the Art Deco La Samaritaine building, offering couture interiors, a 30-metre pool and river-view gastronomy.
Cheval Blanc Paris occupies the riverfront wing of La Samaritaine, the Art Deco department store reimagined by LVMH, and it treats hotel-keeping the way the group treats couture: limited edition, obsessively finished. Just 72 keys occupy the building, most gazing straight across the Seine to the Left Bank, with Pont-Neuf and the Ile de la Cite arranged below like a set design.
Peter Marino's interiors favour warm creams, sculptural furniture and commissioned contemporary art, achieving a rare balance of gallery-level polish and genuine comfort. Rooms are among the largest in Paris at entry level, and the service model—more maison staff than hotel hierarchy—delivers striking personalisation for a young property.
The seventh floor holds a triple-height restaurant with three coveted stars and terraces over the river, while an Italian all-day dining room and cellar bar cover the other registers. Below ground, the Dior Spa's 30-metre pool—one of the longest in the city—swims beneath a wave-like ceiling. For contemporary luxury with a fashion-house finish, nothing in Paris is more complete.
