Caracas, Venezuela — South America
Editorial research. Profiled through in-depth editorial research; Browntravels has not yet stayed at this property. How we review
The international flag in Caracas's El Rosal financial district, delivering full-service business luxury with Ávila views.
The JW Marriott is the most complete international hotel operating in Caracas, a modern tower on Avenida Venezuela in El Rosal, the financial district beside Las Mercedes's restaurant quarter. Its role is anchoring: for corporate, diplomatic and airline traffic it provides the recognisable standards—security protocols, generators, redundant systems, practised English-speaking service—that make working visits to the capital straightforward.
Rooms are large by city standards, classically furnished with marble bathrooms and, from the north-facing upper floors, the full green sweep of the Ávila; executive-floor access adds a lounge with private breakfast and evening cocktails. Suites serve the long-stay market well. The rooftop-level pool deck, sauna and gym are compact but well maintained, and the meeting floors host much of the district's corporate calendar.
Dining includes an all-day restaurant with strong Venezuelan breakfasts—arepas and papelón con limón beside the international buffet—a sushi bar and a lobby lounge that functions as El Rosal's meeting room. Las Mercedes's celebrated restaurant scene begins ten minutes' walk away. For most international visitors with work in Caracas, the JW is where the trip begins and ends.
Around 269 rooms and suites, classically furnished with marble bathrooms; upper north-facing floors frame the Ávila.
An all-day restaurant with Venezuelan and international menus, sushi bar and a lobby lounge central to El Rosal's business life.
A rooftop-level pool deck, sauna and fitness centre.
The Browntravels Verdict
The capital's corporate anchor—choose it for standards, security and Las Mercedes at walking distance.
