Editorial research. Profiled through in-depth editorial research; Browntravels has not yet stayed at this property. How we review
A former bank on Passeig de Gràcia turned white-on-white design statement, with destination gastronomy and a rooftop dipping pool.
Halfway between Gaudí's Casa Batlló and La Pedrera, this converted mid-century bank building holds Barcelona's most fashionable address. Entry is pure theatre: a raised white catwalk ramp gliding over a sunken atrium into a lobby of latticework and light. The interior design—crisp whites, golden mesh, Mediterranean warmth—still feels current, and the fashion-crowd energy at the lobby bar sets the tone.
Rooms favour serenity over spectacle: dove-white palettes, precise lighting and marble bathrooms, with the quietest overlooking the interior garden, an unexpected green pocket in the Eixample grid. Service is sharp and cosmopolitan, well drilled for both business schedules and slow gastronomic weekends. The location could not work harder, with the city's best shopping literally at the door and the Gothic Quarter a short stroll away.
Gastronomy is the trump card: the hotel's fine-dining room carries serious culinary pedigree, while the garden brasserie and rooftop terrace cover easier moods. The subterranean spa's vitality pool and hammam are genuinely restorative after museum miles, and the rooftop plunge pool earns its keep in summer. A polished, fashionable base for the Catalan capital.
120 rooms and suites in serene whites with marble bathrooms; garden-facing rooms are quietest, terrace suites add outdoor space over the city.
A pedigreed fine-dining restaurant, a relaxed garden brasserie and a rooftop terrace for cocktails above Passeig de Gràcia.
An underground spa with vitality pool, hammam and colour-therapy treatment rooms, plus a rooftop dipping pool in season.
The Browntravels Verdict
Barcelona's most polished design stay—ideal for travellers pairing Gaudí and the Gothic Quarter with serious eating.
