Editorial research. Profiled through in-depth editorial research; Browntravels has not yet stayed at this property. How we review
A Moorish-style 1909 palace inside Tivoli Gardens with a handful of lavish rooms, a rooftop pool and the amusement park as its garden.
Nimb is unlike any other luxury hotel in Scandinavia for one simple reason: it stands inside Tivoli Gardens, the 1843 amusement park that inspired Walt Disney, and its guests effectively borrow the park as a front garden. The building itself is a fantasy—a Moorish-style palace of 1909 with a minaret-flanked facade that glows with thousands of lights after dark, facing the park's lake and flowerbeds.
With only around 38 rooms and suites, staying here feels closer to a private residence than a hotel. Interiors pair antique Danish furniture, four-poster beds and fireplaces with crisp contemporary comfort, and most rooms look straight into the gardens, so evenings come with fireworks and the distant music of the rides in season. Guests enjoy their own entrance to Tivoli, a privilege families and romantics prize equally.
The house holds a small rooftop pool and terrace—a rarity in Copenhagen—plus a wine bar, brasserie and grill among its dining rooms, with the city's celebrated restaurant scene beginning immediately beyond the gates. The central station and Strøget shopping street are minutes away. When Tivoli is open, there is no more enchanting address in the Nordics; when it closes in deep winter, the hotel's calm has its own appeal.
Around 38 individually designed rooms and suites with antiques, four-posters and fireplaces, nearly all overlooking Tivoli Gardens.
A brasserie, grill and wine bar within the palace, with Tivoli's own restaurants and central Copenhagen's dining scene steps away.
A rooftop pool with terrace and a small gym; treatments are boutique-scale rather than destination spa.
The Browntravels Verdict
Copenhagen's most magical stay—book a garden-view room while Tivoli is open and let the park do the rest.
