Commissioned by the Moroccan crown as a showcase of national craftsmanship, the Royal Mansour is less a hotel than a purpose-built medina: 53 individual riads arranged along quiet lanes of zellige, carved cedar and bougainvillea, minutes from the real medina's gates.
