Stamba Hotel

Stamba is the hotel that put contemporary Tbilisi on the international design map. Carved from a monumental 1930s Soviet publishing house on Kostava Street, the conversion by the local Adjara Group kept the building's industrial bones magnificently intact: raw concrete columns, exposed services and a lobby atrium walled with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves that has become one of the most photographed interiors in the Caucasus.

Rooms are enormous by any standard—soaring ceilings, freestanding brass bathtubs, leather sofas and record players—styled with an industrial-bohemian confidence that feels utterly of this city.
