Tirana Marriott Hotel

The Marriott's 2022 opening was a milestone for Albania—the country's first hotel from a major American luxury-tier brand—and the property carries the flag well. It rises in a contemporary tower on the Tirana International complex along Boulevard Dëshmorët e Kombit's axis, within walking distance of Skanderbeg Square, the National History Museum and the government quarter, placing guests at the administrative and symbolic centre of a capital reinventing itself at speed.

Inside, the standard is the brand's full contemporary register: a double-height lobby with Albanian art accents, rooms in calm greys and walnut with excellent beds and glazing that silences the boulevard, and executive floors with lounge service overlooking the city's mountain backdrop toward Dajti. The Great Room concept handles all-day dining with Albanian wines alongside international plates, and the wellness floor brings an indoor pool, saunas and a modern gym to a market where such facilities remain scarce. Conference space draws the region's business traffic midweek. It is corporate rather than characterful—Blloku's energy is a fifteen-minute walk—but as the capital's most complete international package, the Marriott now sets Tirana's benchmark.
