Airelles Val d'Isère, Mademoiselle

Val d'Isère has always been a skier's resort first—high, snow-sure and linked with Tignes into the vast Espace Killy—and for years it lacked a hotel to match its terrain's ambition. Airelles answered in December 2020 with Mademoiselle, a palace-scale property at the foot of the slopes styled as an eighteenth-century alpine mansion, complete with the group's signature painted woodwork, costume-uniformed staff and elaborate guest theatrics.

Rooms and suites layer carved timber, toile and rich fabrics with modern engineering; many face the mountainside, and the ski room delivers guests more or less straight onto the snow.
