A clifftop villa estate on the Bukit Peninsula where Italian tailoring meets Balinese craft 150 metres above the Indian Ocean.
Perched on Uluwatu's southern cliffs, Bulgari Resort Bali is what happens when a Roman jeweller commissions a Balinese village. Volcanic stone walls, hand-carved gates and thatched alang-alang roofs frame interiors of dark timber, bronze and silk, and the whole composition is angled toward a horizon of open ocean far below. The drama of the setting never wears off; sunset from the clifftop bar remains one of Bali's great rituals.
Accommodation is villa-only, each with a private plunge pool, walled garden and ocean-facing pavilion. The aesthetic is more polished and shadowed than typical island resorts—closer to a couture atelier than a beach house—which suits couples seeking privacy and a sense of occasion. An inclinator glides down the cliff face to a small, dramatic beach that feels borrowed from a film set.
Dining moves between refined Italian cooking and a Balinese-led restaurant in a genuine antique joglo, while the spa carves treatment rooms into the rock with ocean views.
