Cove Resort is the modern face of Koror's dive-hotel tradition: a clean-lined contemporary property on the harbour at Malakal, where the dive fleets tie up, purpose-built so that guests can walk from breakfast to boat in a minute. Gear rooms, rinse tanks and camera stations sit alongside the lobby, and the adjacent docks host Palau's best-known operators—an arrangement that makes the Cove the default for serious divers who want efficiency without roughing it.

Rooms are fresh, functional and comfortable, with harbour or Rock Island views from the upper floors, strong air-conditioning and desks that suit the laptop-and-logbook crowd. The pool deck cantilevered over the water is the social centre, flanked by a casual restaurant and bar where the day's manta and shark sightings are debated over burgers, poke bowls and cold Red Rooster beer.

Downtown Koror is a few minutes' drive for restaurants and provisioning, and non-diving days fill easily with kayaking, the nearby aquarium and Rock Islands tours.
