Jumby Bay, Antigua and Barbuda — Caribbean
Editorial research. Profiled through in-depth editorial research; Browntravels has not yet stayed at this property. How we review
A car-free 300-acre private island off Antigua, run by Oetker Collection as the Caribbean's most polished all-inclusive hideaway.
Jumby Bay begins with a boat: the only way onto this 300-acre private island two miles off Antigua's north shore is the resort launch, and the crossing works like a decompression chamber. On the other side lies a car-free world of white-sand beaches, frangipani lanes travelled by bicycle, and a low scatter of suites and villas run by Oetker Collection—the house behind Le Bristol and the Eden Rock—to a standard no other Caribbean all-inclusive approaches.
And it is all-inclusive in the fullest sense: every meal, fine wine, water sports and most activities fold into the rate, removing the transactional friction that usually accompanies luxury. Suites are breezy and residential in crisp whites and Caribbean pastels; the island's private residences, many available to book, add compound-scale space. Three beaches offer calm swimming, and the island doubles as a sanctuary where hawksbill turtles nest and sheep crop the meadows.
Dining moves nightly between the Estate House's refined menus, beachfront grills and pop-up experiences, with standards remarkably high for an island where everything arrives by boat. Families are woven in effortlessly—bikes, kids' programmes, safe water—while couples find empty sand at the island's far ends. As a formula for unclenched, no-wallet luxury, Jumby Bay is the Caribbean's most convincing argument.
Around 40 suites plus villa residences in whites and pastels, with courtyards, plunge pools and bicycles at every door.
Estate House refined dining, beach grills and shifting pop-up tables, with wines and cocktails included throughout.
A spa in island gardens, sunrise yoga, cycling lanes and swimming from three protected beaches.
The Browntravels Verdict
The Caribbean's best all-inclusive, full stop—private-island calm with grand-hotel standards and nothing to sign.
