Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol sits in Jochberg, a quiet village a few kilometres up the valley from Kitzbühel proper, positioned directly opposite a gondola into the vast KitzSki area. That geography defines its appeal: guests trade the Hahnenkamm town buzz for doorstep lift access, valley views and a hotel purpose-built for mountain holidays rather than converted from a historic shell.
The architecture takes the Tyrolean vocabulary—timber, stone, pitched roofs—and scales it generously, with a lofty lobby fireplace, broad corridors and rooms that run larger than the regional norm, most with balconies facing the peaks. Families are well looked after, with a dedicated kids' club and family suites, while the ski concierge handles fittings and passes so mornings run smoothly.
