Six Senses Ibiza

Six Senses chose the quietest corner of Ibiza for its Balearic debut: the cliffs and coves of Cala Xarraca at the island's northern tip, far from the strip of San Antonio and the super-clubs of Playa d'en Bossa. The low-slung buildings step down the hillside towards the bay in a palette of raw timber, stone and lime plaster, deliberately closer to a Balearic farming village than a conventional resort, and the whole property faces the sunset.

Wellness is the organising idea. The spa and longevity centre run diagnostics-driven programmes alongside more familiar therapies, and the daily rhythm of yoga, breathwork and cold-water sessions gives the resort a purposeful energy that distinguishes it from the island's beach clubs. Farm-to-table commitments are taken seriously, with menus built around organic produce and the resort's sustainability agenda visible rather than performative.

Rooms and suites face the sea in warm neutrals, with the Cave suites sitting closest to the water; multi-bedroom residences suit groups making a longer stay of it. Ibiza Town is roughly half an hour away, so the hedonistic island remains available on demand—but the point of staying here is that it stays out of earshot.
