Suvretta House

Suvretta House sits deliberately apart from St. Moritz, occupying its own sheltered fold of the Suvretta plateau a few minutes from the village. Built in 1912 in the manner of a fairytale castle, its towers and gables rise against larch forest with clear views to Piz Nair and the frozen lakes below. That remove is the point: guests come here for the calm of a self-contained world rather than the promenade bustle of Badrutt's mile.

The hotel's trump card in winter is its own ski lift rising directly from the doorstep into the Corviglia ski area, so guests click in and glide off without touching a road.
