Luštica Bay, Montenegro — Europe
Editorial research. Profiled through in-depth editorial research; Browntravels has not yet stayed at this property. How we review
A stone-village marina resort on the open-sea side of the Luštica peninsula, anchoring Montenegro's newest coastal town.
The Chedi anchors Luštica Bay, the purpose-built town rising in traditional stone-village idiom on the peninsula that separates Boka Bay from the open Adriatic. Unlike its bay-facing rivals, the resort looks to the open sea: its terracotta-and-stone wings step down to a marina promenade, and the water beyond the breakwater runs clear to the horizon—sunsets here are the peninsula's best argument.
Rooms and suites are calm and contemporary in GHM's understated manner—pale stone, oak, linen—most with balconies over the marina or sea. The rooftop and outdoor pools, a small beach deck and an indoor pool with spa cover the seasons, and families are comfortably absorbed in a way the flashier bay resorts manage less naturally.
Dining spans Mediterranean and Adriatic menus, a lobby lounge with sea-view terraces and the growing collection of marina-front restaurants outside the door as the town fills in. Kotor and Tivat airport are each around half an hour, and the wild beaches and Blue Grotto of the outer peninsula are close by boat or car. As Luštica Bay matures, the Chedi offers Montenegro's most relaxed coastal luxury—polished, unhurried and facing the open sea.
Around 111 rooms and suites in pale stone and oak, most with balconies over the marina or open Adriatic.
Mediterranean and Adriatic restaurants with sea-view terraces, extended by the marina promenade's growing tables.
An indoor pool and spa with sauna and treatments, plus rooftop and outdoor pools above the sea.
The Browntravels Verdict
Montenegro's relaxed open-sea address—Chedi calm, marina life and the Adriatic sunset in one stone village.
